Robert Venditti was given the assignment to replace Scott Snyder on Justice League so with the launch of #40, he Doug Mahnke and Aaron Lopresti are chronicling their adventures of the team. Their first arc involves the Eradicator and an army of genetically-engineered Daxamites who want to take over the Earth. #45 will bring the Spectre into the book in an arc that uses elements of the Wonder Woman mythology to create a threat the entire team is needed for. Venditti says his run will focus on just how the Justice League works since every member has a different personality and a different way to take on a threat. He will show that when it comes down to beating a villain the members will learn to ignore their differences and fight as one. He isn’t scared that the book ships twice a month since he did all 51 issues of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps in a row with no break and no issue shipped late. It’s easier for him since the book will use multiple artists. And his arcs will not go past five issues which will allow him to pack a lot of content inside each issue. The Spectre arc will explore what it would mean to be Corrigan and have to carry the weight of being the Spectre. So during the arc we will watch what the world would be like if the Spectre wasn’t around if some of the Greek mythological monsters escaped.
