"Triple H" Levesque issued an apology for a "terrible joke" he made about Paige
(Saraya Bevis) earlier this year. He posted a tweet saying that he's apologized
to Paige. He also wrote that he's sorry if the joke offended anyone: "I’ve
reached out to @RealPaigeWWE to apologize. I made a terrible joke and I’m sorry
if it offended her or anyone else." The joke came during media for NXT UK
TakeOver: Blackpool II. HHH was asked about speculation of Edge (Adam Copeland)
and Paige potentially being able to return to the ring. In his answer he said,
"More importantly than that, though, I'd like to see them live long healthy
lives. You know, Edge has kids. Paige -- maybe -- she probably has some she
doesn’t know of." Paige kind of blew off the joke and honestly, the outrage was
a bit overblown. And no, there have been no reports of Paige also returning to
the ring but she has a job for life with the WWE.
