A Bunch of Bytes of News Across the TV/Film Franchise Spectrum

Apple has made a deal for brand-new content based on the Peanuts franchise…Ian McShane will not be in The Continental, a spin-off John Wick TV series set in the same universe as the films. The franchise will end when they run out of ideas…Harrison Ford says as long as he draws breath he will not give the reboot of the Indiana Jones franchise his blessing. He will be in the next film…David Goyer will write and produce a new Hellraiser series…Marvel’s Iron Fist’s Jessica Henwick has a major role in The Matrix 4. She joins Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Neil Patrick Harris and Mindhunters’ Jonathan Groff…Disney’s Bob Iger says Disney isn’t interested in buying another franchise but he has always been a huge James Bond fan. It isn’t likely that producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson want to sell the rights to the character. No Time To Die is the next Bond film and Daniel Craig has made it clear he’s done and wouldn’t even return to direct a film…Australian Abe Forsythe will direct Robocop Returns. The new film will ignore the previous sequels…George Miller says that after he directs the action film Three Thousand Years of Longing with Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton he will dive into the next Mad Max film.
