WWE's Jimmy Uso was found not guilty
in a recent Florida DUI case. The jury deliberated for an hour before delivering
the verdict. Uso (Jonathan Fatu) was arrested in late July for a high blood
alcohol level by local police. The arresting officer,Jeremy Meeks, watched him
swerving left and right and once he pulled him over he smelled alcohol. Fatu
never refused a field sobriety test but did ask for his lawyer and while in jail
he requested a jury trial. A video from the arrest showed that Fatu got up to 86
mph at one point and the speeding ticket was not dismissed and remains on his
record. Meeks testified that Fatu had a hard time opening up the door, getting
out of the vehicle, and stumbled. Fatu didn't speak to the media after the
verdict and there was no reason or rationale was given for the verdict. This was
the second time Fatu had been arrested in 2019. He and wife Naomi (Trinity Fatu)
got pulled over after a show in Detroit, MI, and he was charged with disorderly
conduct and obstruction. The arresting officer noted the car smelled of alcohol.
Naomi was the one behind the wheel and Fatu got out of the car and started
arguing and videoing the police. Fatu ended up pleading no contest and paid $450
in fines.
