Sony Pictures has been developing a Masters of the Universe film reboot for over 10 years and we haven’t seen He-Man on the big screen yet. THR is reporting that Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman is talking with Netflix to share production costs. Sony would join Paramount in making movies belonging more or less exclusively to Netflix and the deal works out well for Sony. The film already has Noah Centineo set as the lead role of the film as He-Man and he has done multiple projects for Netflix. The service is already running a She-Ra and the Princesses of Power animated series and is working with Kevin Smith on a He-Man” animated sequel series called Masters of the Universe: Revelation. Netflix and Mattel Television are developing a companion series to the Smith project called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
