 Oni Press and Lion Forge are now
one company. The companies claim this will strengthen their library of
intellectual properties, which include comics and graphic novels. The merged
entity can then spread into other media platforms specifically film and
animation. The current publisher of Oni Press, James Lucas Jones, will become
president of this new company. Polarity, which owns Lion Forge will create an
animation studio to produce television and film content. The merger will allow
the companies to have a larger page presence in the Diamond Previews catalog.
Since the merger most of the employees at Oni have left the company claming they
knew and were told nothing about the merger.
