The WWE is considering creating a four tiered
system for the WWE Network. The idea is to create a $14.99 a month price point
that would let subscribers watch regular content from non-WWE promotions on the
Network. The deal would allow fans to watch programming from Ring of Honor,
EVOLVE and World Wrestling Network. It would also allow fans to watch live
episodes of NXT which could mean the shows would be held once a week instead of
taping three to four episodes at a time. The $14.99 plan would let fans vote for
the WWE Hall of Fame, have first access to buying event tickets, get second
screen content, and invitations to exclusive VIP meet ups. WWE is also
considering adding a free plan and $4.99 a month plan to the purchasing options.
The free plan would let you watch the WWE Network 24/7 live stream but not PPV
events or NXT shows. The plan would let fans access five hours of archived
content a month but have a lot of commercials. The $4.99 a month plan would be
available only on phones and tablets. That option gives you access to the WWE
Network 24/7 live stream and video archive. It gives you a chance to watch Royal
Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series live but that’s all. The
$9.99 a month plan would allow fans to watch live episodes of NXT and everything
you can see right now. |
