Steve Jobs’ Katherine Waterston will play the lead in Ridley Scott's Prometheus
film Alien: Covenant. She is supposedly playing Ellen Ripley's mother in the
film which has been described as an ensemble piece. Sigourney Weaver says the
film will serve as an intro to Neill Blomkamp's proposed direct sequel to
Aliens. The film will also ignore the path taken by Alien 3 and Alien:
Resurrection. Now when Covenant was announced Noomi Rapace was in the film, and
then was just going to have a cameo, then wasn’t in the film at all but now is
set to return for the film which also stars Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride,
Demian Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and
Billy Crudup. The film will tell of the colony ship Covenant bound for a remote
planet whose sole inhabitant is David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus
expedition. |
