 Valiant’s
Divinity event will return in December as Divinity III: Stalinverse. We will get
a core event series and one-shots such as Divinity III: Komandar Bloodshot. In
the timeline of the event the U.S.S.R. won the Cold War and the world is under
Soviet rule with the Valiant heroes such as Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, and Ninjak
operating under their rule. According to Valiant’s Editor-In-Chief Warren Simons
when Divinity III: Stalinverse begins the world is upside down. Bloodshot is an
agent of the Union and X-O Manowar is with the KGB. Ninjak is working for the
Central Committee to see if the two are loyal to the Empire. There will be four
one-shots from December to March that will expand the vision of this new world
and the first will be Komandar Bloodshot. Jeff Lemire and Clayton Crain will
tell the tale of Bloodshot being sent to Colorado to stop an uprising. The
one-shots and the event will explain how this world came to be and if it’s
supposed to be or has something going wrong to create it. The main series will
again be written by Matt Kindt with art from Trevor Hairsine. Kindt says the
main series will have Ninjak testing loyalties while also trying to find the
missing Abram Adams. The event will involve every character in the Valiant
Universe on one side or the other with some teaming with characters we never
thought would be together. The tale will also involve Myshka, the leader of an
all-new team of heroes called Heroes of the State, a Russian super-powered death
squad. |
