Free ComicBook Day 2023...

COMICBOOKMAN SEZ: It's Christmas for comic books once again! It's the
FCBD 2023
event and here's what to expect starting at 10:00am and running through
6:00pm...
1) THE FREE COMICS, as we have done every year since 2002 you are more
than welcome to take 1 copy each of any or all of the fifty FCBD titles for this
year. This year ALL of the free comics will again be set up outside and
separated
into: ALL AGES (Green FCBD Logo), TEENS AND UP (Blue FCBD Logo) and MATURE (Red FCBD Logo)-refer
to the graphic below for color coding labels. All will be
clearly marked and there will be helpers outside to bag up your books. Here's
what we need from you...
-LINE UP, please form a line down 111th Street, we'll let everyone through to
the free comics one at a time. After you make your choices and we bag them up
the next person can come through. This is just a little more organized version
of what's happened at the store for every FCBD since 2002.
-SHOP, after you get your free comics if you want to come into the store and
shop then please do. This years sales are listed below.
2) All 050323 New Shipping items are NOT part of the Free Comicbook Day
Sale. Of course our two Books of
the Week are still 25% Off! Our "Buy in
Bulk"
supplies (and only those supplies) are also exempt from this sale.
3) Subscribers, any book(s) currently on hold for you are exempt from
this sale. Also even if you dropped off a FCBD list with us, we've already
pulled free comics for you so check with us before standing in line.
4) As always we will be passing out many "Back Issue Bucks" during the
course of the sale. However, you can not use your "Bucks" in conjunction with
any discounts.

"FCBD" DAY Sale features some of the biggest sales and

As the name implies, Free Comic Book Day is a one day event when participating
comic book specialty shops (like us) across North America and around the world
give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. The
first FCBD was in 2002 and we've participated in every sing
one!

Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) comics this year
will be distributed the same way we have every year since the first "Free Comic
Book Day" in 2003.
All 48 of this
years titles will be available when the doors open at 10:00am on FCBD (050623).
Patrons
are welcome to take ONE copy each of any or all of the 48 books being offered.
Supplies are limited and all books are on a first come/first served basis.
SUBSCRIBERS:
As we have every year, ARSS Members may fill out and drop off their
FCBD 2023 CHECKLIST
anytime up to the Friday before FCBD and we will pull and hold their books for
them.
This service is offered to ARSS Subscribers only.
ABOUT THE CHICAGO BAG TAX:
As we have every year, we ask all patrons to
allow us to bag up their FREE COMICS before they exit the store on FCBD. What's
new this year is the City of Chicago Bag Tax. In order to keep things moving and
not impact the days festivities, we will absorb the cost of the Chicago seven
cent bag tax for the duration of FCBD Saturday.
In other words: The Bags are on us on FCBD! |
