EVENT DATE:

LOCATION:

Berwyn, Illinois
"Most of the current WWE women’s wrestlers hopefully could learn something after watching this match."
What is Shimmer Wrestling? Shimmer is the premier all women wrestling promotion in the United States. This promotion is an all-star gathering of the best women wrestlers in the states and across the world. The foreign talent came from England, Canada, Croatia and Mexico. They are the sister promotion of Ring of Honor. They taped 2 dvd's at this event and here I'll be highlighting the bigger stars of the promotion.
MATCH 1:
Cindy Rogers versus. Daizee Haze
The match had a very basic beginning. Daizee gained the early advantage on the mat. Rogers gained control of the match after landing a dropkick onto Daizee’s knee. Rodgers worked over the knee for several minutes. Using several submission maneuvers. Rodgers even locked on the figure four-leg lock around the ring post. Daizee finally landed the heart punch. Daizee picked up the victory with a sunset flip roll up.

Match rating: 3 stars. A very energetic match from these two.
MATCH 2:
Amazing Kong vs. Ariel
Right off from the opening bell Kong used her size advantage to the fullest extent. Kong was just throwing Ariel around the ringside into the barriers. Ariel showed her resilience by kicking out of several pin fall attempts. After a couple Kong became upset at the referee by not being able to get the fall. Kong then power bombed the referee. Ariel won by disqualification.

Match Rating 2 ½ stars. They book Kong in the right way as being the most dominant wrestler on this roster. Ariel did have a great showing doing whatever she could to knock down Kong.
MATCH 3:
Lacey vs. Sarah Stock
Each woman eyed on a single body part at the beginning of the match. Sarah focused on the back of Lacey. Lacey focused mainly on the neck. They both controlled the match for several minutes each. Sarah was using her lucha libre style to keep Lacey off balance. Sarah finally picked up the victory with the tiger driver.

Match Rating: 3 Stars. Sarah has only been brought in at the last taping and has shown to be a great main eventer. Lacey is also on the same level as Sarah. A great combative match from these two.
MATCH 4:
Cheerleader Melissa & MsChif vs. Allison Danger & Sara Del Ray
This match showcased probably the 4 most recognized faces of Shimmer. Danger and Del Ray gained the early control of the match. They focused on MsChif for several minutes. MsChif was able to make the hot tag to Melissa. Melissa was then able to focus on both Danger and Del Ray. MsChif came back and tagged herself back into the ring. MsChif nailed the desecreator on Del Ray and the referee was distracted by Danger. Melissa and MsChif picked up the victory after Melissa hitting the air raid crash on Danger.

Match Rating: 4 stars. This match showcased some of the most recognized talent on their roster. They delivered a top tier match. Most of the current WWE women’s wrestlers hopefully could learn something after watching this match.
MATCH 5:
Jetta vs. Daizee Haze
Jetta and Daizee in the early minutes neither could establish control. Daizee finally gained control after a drop kick onto Jetta. Jetta tried to keep Daizee grounded and focused on the shoulder. Daizee regained control after landing the heart punch and yakuza kick combo. Jetta gained the control after landing a neckbreaker. Daizee finally picked up the fall after nailing the mind trip.

Match Rating: 3 stars. This is probably the first time they faced each other. They went out and delivered a very solid match.
MATCH 6:
Amazing Kong vs. WESNA
This match probably featured the two strongest wrestlers on their roster. WESNA is making her first appearance and is from Croatia. Kong used her power and size advantage to gain the early advantage. This match was very physicals. A lot of power slams and Kong hit several splashes. WESNA showcased her strength by nailing Kong with the Samoan Drop and also a power slam. Kong finally got the pinfall after reversing WESNA’s flipping senton splash into a powerbomb.

Match Rating: 3 stars. This match was another first time meeting between the wrestlers ever. They both made each other look excellent. This match put an emphasis on the power style of wrestling match.
MATCH 7:
Cheerleader Melissa vs. Sarah Stock
This was a rematch from the title tournament from last June. Once again these women just gave everything they had. This was a very stiff and physical match. Melissa was very determined to avenge her lose from the previous match. They exchanged control of the match several times. Melissa finally got the pinfall with the cop killer.

Match Rating: 3 stars. Sarah Stock seems to a rare person who can match any type of wrestling. Sarah can also make them look excellent. Melissa still has an excellent future in the wrestling business. I would love to see another match between these two.
MATCH 8:
MsChif vs. Sara Del Ray Shimmer Title Match
Sara granted this match after MsChif was able to nail the desecreator and pinned her for the 3 count. Del Ray had gained the early advantage in the match with several punches and kicks. MsChif gained control of the match by locking on the octopus on each side. They women exchanged several near falls. MsChif wins the title after nailing Del Ray with the desecreator in the middle of the ring. The whole crowd was completely shocked with the title change.

Match Rating: 3 ½ stars. I would say both of the women have a great future ahead of them. I think that MsChif has everything that she could be successful in the WWE. Sara and MsChif gave everything they had in that match.
