LUKE I AM STILL YOUR FATHER

At the end of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the Rebel Alliance got their butts kicked; the fleet was scattered all over the galaxy; Luke Skywalker lost a hand and discovered Darth Vader was his father and Han Solo was frozen in Carbonite. In the sequel Return of the Jedi, Han was rescued and the Empire got their asses kicked. But we never saw how the Rebels got their act together and that story is being told by Charles Soule and Jesus Saiz. So we will not see Han because what would be the point since he’s frozen and Luke can’t confront his father so Soule is kind of boxed in but we did see the introduction of Poe Dameron in his first issue so it isn’t all bad. The events of the novel Shadows of the Empire will not be explored unless there is a good reason to introduce new characters. What we will see are the stages Luke went through to get to him being a bad ass in Return. We will see Leia dealing with Han being gone while getting the Rebels back together. And Soule has plans to introduce a new Imperial villain with an interesting past and a strong personal motivation to destroy the Rebels.
