KING GETS STRANGE

Tom King’s run on Batman is over but he has two new comic projects coming out. He is working on Batman/Catwoman with Clay Mann and the upcoming Strange Adventures ongoing. King is co-writing Ava DuVernay's New Gods movie and developing an original television series. There isn’t much difference between writing a screenplay and from writing for comics because you use the same muscles. King says this is the last work he will do with the New Gods since he also dealt with then with the Mister Miracle limited series. King wanted to make it clear that he was always going to leave Batman after repairing the relationship between Batman and Catwoman but he is open to doing another Batman related title using one of the supporting characters. King will move on to Strange Adventures while Mann gets issues of Batman/Catwoman in the can and he says the title will explore what it means to live in two different worlds. On Earth Adam Strange is just a scientist but when he is off world he becomes a super hero. The title will have Alanna, his wife as a major supporting character but King says the book isn’t about Adam Strange. There is another character introduced in the first issue who is the co-lead of the series. Doc Shaner and Mitch Gerards are drawing the book so the art styles will change from page to page.
