Avengers:
Endgame screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely think the X-Men
need to go away for a while before they are seen on screen again. Marvel Studios
head Kevin Feige seems to agree with them since he says that phase 5 was planned
out well before they got the rights back…Joe and Anthony Russo are done with
Marvel Studios for a while but would return for an adaptation of Secret Wars.
They also have an interest in the Fantastic 4…Deadpool co-writer Paul Wernick
told EW that Disney and Marvel are still trying to figure out where he would
take place in the post Disney/Fox world but says the films would still be R
rated…Thor: Love and Thunder’s Taika Waititi says Jane Foster’s battle with
breast cancer could happen in the movie…there is a rumor that Disney would be
willing to pay up to $5 billion to get the Spider-Man rights fully back with
Marvel Studios…Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal is teasing plans for the Sinister
Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe…Black Widow will have a scene with William
Hurt’s General Ross in it…Ryan Coogler has only just begun outlining the story
of the Black Panther sequel…Kingsman’s Matthew Vaughn wants to direct a
Fantastic Four…production on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will take
place over much of early next year at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia. Along
with Tony Leung’s The Mandarin the film will include Tiger-Claw, Moving Shadow,
Razor-Fist, and Ghostmaker since the film will "involve a Bloodsport-style
underground fight tournament."
