During
an interview with ESPN's Marc Raimondi, CM Punk talked about his upcoming
appearance at Starrcast and whether or not he has a relationship with AEW. He
will be at Starrcast III in Schaumburg, Illinois on Saturday, August 31, the
same day as AEW's All Out PPV. He will do a one-on-one interview and a series of
meet-and-greets. And that has made a lot of people theorize he’s going to return
to wrestling at All Out but it isn’t going to happen. Here are the highlights of
the interview: he is doing Starrcast because they asked him. And the show is
close to where he lives so there isn’t any traveling…he loves to interact with
fans at signings so he does more than just sign stuff…he doesn’t have a
relationship with AEW. He has sent texts to Matt Jackson but that’s about it…he
doesn’t know why Tony Khan tells people he has a great relationship with him
since they never came close to making a deal…he knows fans are trying to figure
out what he is going to do but he isn’t mad about them guessing what his future
is…he admits he got a text from Cody Rhodes but he didn’t answer it because
answering suggests interest…he feels that if you want to make him an offer do it
in person and not by text…the text went through three people and was a general
offer…he doubts he will involved with professional wrestling in any way by the
end of 2020…he is still under contract with the UFC but hasn't been offered
another fight by them…Punk would love another fight but is dealing with the fact
he is likely going to remain a commentator.
