 The Year of the Villain one shot showed Lex Luthor would
be offering villains a way to finally defeat their hero once and for all.
According to Scott Snyder, the event will culminate “in a battle between good
and evil in November when one side will win, and that will propel the biggest
story we’ve told, at least in my time in DC, from December through spring of
2020.” The event will show the Justice League bring in heroes from all parts of
the DCU to join the team for the battle. And this all begins when Lex discovers
something bigger than himself and makes a major sacrifice. He feels that the
human race was meant to be evil and wants the other villains to become that
ultimate evil. Lex will make his offer in the July DCU titles and we will see
who takes it and who refuses it. And in some cases a hero will take up the
offer. The ending of Batman Who Laughs will play into this as well as the
Justice League titles, Batman and Superman. |
