Former
UFC and Strikeforce fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller was arrested recently. That
could constitute a violation of his existing probation terms and put him in jail
for along time. Miller, 37, was arrested in California and charged with felony
vandalism. He was held without bail after pleading not guilty at an arraignment,
according to MMAFighting. Miller was charged with entering a woman’s house and
destroying some of her property. Because the damage is greater than $400, the
charge was considered a felony. A conviction would violate his probation from
several prior run-ins with the law. He had cut a plea deal for pleading guilty
to injury on a spouse or cohabitant in November of 2007. Miller was given three
years of probation and a suspended four-year state prison sentence. If he is
found guilty he will have to serve the four-year prison sentence and any prison
time that comes along with the recent charges. At one point Miller was one of
the top welterweight and middleweight fighters in the world but behavior issues
have made him toxic to any promotion out there. |
