 Rick
Remender and Wes Craig’s Deadly Class is a comic and a TV series. Remender is
very hands on with the show which is unusual and keeps him very busy with that
and his other Giant Generator projects. That includes the conclusions of Low and
Black Science, the returning Seven to Eternity and Death or Glory and a possible
new book. The current arc of Class began when the show also premiered. In the
last arc Marcus walked away from the path that Master Lin had set him up to be
on and decided to go another way. The Never Go Back arc shows what the new path
is which involves meeting new friends, figuring out his relationship with Maria
and working out how he is going to deal with Kings Dominion and Master Lin.
Complicating all this is Helmut thinking Marcus allowed Petra to be killed even
though he didn’t and Marcus letting Viktor go. Viktor’s motivation for letting
Marcus and his friends escape from the Yakuza kids will be revealed as the arc
continues. Remender says that the future of the series will explain why they
survived as he introduces new students but we will not be seeing Saya for a
while. He plans to use the show to set up future comic arcs. The return of Low
will involve the seven-part arc Last Embers which will answer all the questions
the book has asked and the art is being worked on now. Bengal is drawing #8 of
Death or Glory and the book will return once he gets three issues in the can.
Finally Remember says he has a new book coming out with an amazing artist. Once
three issues are in the can it will be announced and he says it’s based in a
genre he has never done before. |
