A Laundry List of New Indy Talent is Coming to the WWE Universe

WWE has been on a signing binge recently and has added the following to NXT: Impact alum MJ Jenkins, The Crash’s Lacey Lane, gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr., former rugby player Luke Menzies, seven-foot tall Chinese boxer Taishan Dong, amateur wrestler Denzel Dejournette, former Impact/Tough Enough/All In talent Chelsea Green, Ring of Honor’s Punishment Martinez, Humberto Carrillo, rugby player Daniel Vidot and 7-foot-3 former basketball player Jordan Omogbehin. Austrian standout WALTER has signed and will work out of NXT UK . During their European tour WWE held a four-day tryout in Cologne, Germany which involved: Ilja Dragunov, Jurn Simmons, Emil Sitoci, Wesna, Camille Grignon (a third-generation French wrestler), Raffael Gordzielik (a German strongman champion), Edwige Trabouillet (French wrestler Mila Smidt), Christopher Oketch (a strongman competitor from Kenya) and Aleksandar Jaksic (who trained at Santino Marella’s Battle Arts Academy). There was also a tryout at the WWE Performance Center that brought in: Eric Spicely, a contestant on Ultimate Fighter season 23, All In’s Olivia Hasler, Cal Bloom (the son of Wayne Bloom who wrestled as Beau Beverly), Liberian amateur wrestler Emmanuel Matadi, Heba Ali (seen on season five of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge show), Jeremiah Buoni (from MTV’s Floribama Shore), The Titan Games’ Tina Rivas and Kenny Marquez (seen on the Undercover Boss episode that Stephanie McMahon was on) WWE will hold a number of tryouts across the world, including India which will have their own tryouts in March in order to load up the roster.
