 The Avengers: No Surrender team of Al
Ewing, Jim Zub and Mark Waid will reunite in the 10-part weekly series Avengers:
No Road Home. The event will be drawn by Paco Medina and Sean Izaakse and have
Voyager bring together the Hulk, Hercules, Hawkeye, Spectrum, Vision, Scarlet
Witch and Rocket Raccoon to battle a major threat. When the last issue of No
Surrender came out it was suggested that if they were willing another weekly was
fine with them. The initial story was worked out at C2E2 and decided upon in
May. No Surrender was a huge sweeping epic but No Road Home will have on major
villain and have the challenge to the characters a little more personal. As was
the case with No Surrender the midpoint of No Road Home will introduce or mark
the return of a mysterious character. The core villains of No Road Home are new
but are connected to a part of the Marvel Universe that’s been around since the
late '60s.
It all begins with AVENGERS NO ROAD HOME #1 (OF 10) which ships with
three standard covers and is currently scheduled to arrive on New Comic
Wednesday-021319 with a $4.99 cover price. As always it will be
