 The
premise of the new Image series The Freeze is simple-the entire world has been
stuck in time and frozen in place with only one man wielding the power to
"unfreeze" them. In the Dan Wickline/Phillip Sevy series 99% of the population
is gone and those that are left must survive. Wickline had pitched some original
projects to Top Cow publisher Matt Hawkins and Hawkins approved The Freeze right
away and the search began for an artist. Sevy had done work for the publisher
before and the two began to develop the series within two days. The idea was to
do a classic science fiction series with a modern feel to it. Our hero, Ray is a
young guy living with his sick mother and a dog when suddenly he has the ability
to reform society. And in doing so then the question is does the new society
follow the norms of the old one or do something different? Freeze #1 is on sale
