Archie Comics has a lot of new projects
planned for 2019 but before the year is over we will see a new Betty and
Veronica limited series called obviously, Betty & Veronica. This five-part
series will show the duo during their senior year of high school. Jamie L. Rotante, who works as an editor at Archie Comics, also wrote the Betty &
Veronica: Vixens series. She and artist Sandra Lanz will tell a more grounded
look at the life of a teenager. Rotante was the one who came up with the idea
for Vixens and was asked if she was willing to write the book also. Each issue
of Betty & Veronica will take place in a different season and show them figure
out what they want to do with the rest of their lives. We will also see how
their friends come to the same decisions. Archie is planning a Riverdale series
that would follow the storylines in the TV show and that may be an ongoing.
Jessica Jones’ Kelly Thompson is doing a Sabrina the Teenage Witch limited
series with the art team of Veronica and Andy Fish. The five-issue series will
be lighter in tone than Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. |
