Even
though both are retired the chance of one more MMA fight will both Chuck Liddell
and Tito Ortiz out of retirement. The fight had been rumored for months and this
will be the third fight between two men who hate each other. But the fight will
not happen at UFC, Bellator, or even Japan but as the main event for Oscar De La
Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions' first MMA pay-per-view event. So far there is no
fight date or venue announced but both will be made clear soon. Liddell thinks
California would the location if a deal can be made. The fight will be held
inside a cage and is will be at light heavyweight. Liddell hasn’t fought since
June 2010 and his loss to Rich Franklin was his third straight loss. Ortiz left
UFC in 2012, retired, came back in 2014 for Bellator and went 3-1 before losing
in January 2017 to Chael Sonnen. |
