Chuck
Liddell, former UFC light heavyweight champion, has announced he will return to
fighting. His last fight was at UFC 115 in June 2010. He lost that fight in the
first round when he was knocked out by Rich Franklin. Liddell lost five of his
last six fights in the UFC, the last three by knockout or technical knockout. He
has talked with boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya about a fight against Tito
Ortiz, an old rival. Liddell is talking to Bellator about a fight with Chael
Sonnen. A UFC return isn’t happening since Dana White was the person who pushed
him to retire. Liddell thinks that after a few fights he could challenge former
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is still technically suspended
from any competition. Jones heard what Liddell said and said he’d knock Chuck
out. |
