 Bleeding Cool has been reporting an
upcoming DC line-wide set of creative changes and relaunched titles is coming.
They called it DC’s Fresh Start but internally it’s being called a Creative
Refresh that will be supervised by Brian Michael Bendis. So maybe around Comic
Con international we will get an official announcement but Rich Johnson has
Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp on Green Lantern #1; Brian Azzarello on Suicide
Squad; Kelly Sue DeConnick on Aquaman; David F Walker on Flash and a Justice
Foundation comic from Steve Orlando. There was hope that Matt Fraction would do
a Jimmy Olsen comic but he decided to write the first issue then passed. In
other Bendis news there is supposedly active betting on how many artists will
actually be used on his six-issue weekly Man Of Steel series. All six artists
have been named but some issues will have art from other artists so the books
can ship on time. Blame isn’t being placed on the artists but editorial pushing
the schedule instead of waiting for pages to be in before soliciting them. We
know that Ivan Reis and Joe Prado will make their deadline, Evan Shaner should
make his, Ryan Sook is a maybe, Kevin Maguire says he has his pages coming in,
Adam Hughes is a crap shoot and Jason Fabok has turned in extra pages. |
