Ghostbusters reboot director Paul Feig says he’s
willing to return for a sequel to the 2016 comedy if the studio were interested.
The film ended up being savaged by critics and lost the studio over $70 million
dollars. But Feig told Yahoo, “We would love to make another movie, it’s really
up to the studio. We had so much fun making that movie. The movie’s just really
built an audience in the two years since it’s been out. I get contacted every
day by people who are such fans of it, and so many women who are inspired by
seeing women in science. I will go to my grave so proud of that movie, and so
proud of what that cast did in that film.” And if that doesn’t happen franchise
co-founder Ivan Reitman says he has an idea to introduce international teams
that would connect with the New York office. But as is the case with Feig, a new
film is all up to Sony Pictures. |
