A Bunch of Bytes of News From Around the DCU

Tony Daniel wants to do more Batman issues with Tom King…Joëlle Jones is writing and drawing a Catwoman ongoing series. The first issue will ship the same day as Batman #50, which has to be read first…Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok are working on the three Jokers tease seen in DC Universe: Rebirth one-shot…Lee Weeks will draw Batman #51-#53…Dan Jurgens and Mike Perkins will take over Green Lanterns with #50…Sean Gordon Murphy’s Batman: White Knight lives in its own universe and he has some ground rules: the dead will remain so, he will limited the number of alternative covers, the books will come out on time and each issue of any book will have an awesome vehicle seen inside it…Nightwing’s new Titans team has Donna Troy, Raven, Steel (John Henry’s niece, Natasha Irons), Beast Boy, Miss Martian and a new character…Sam Humphries is taking over writing duties on Harley Quinn starting with #45…Greg Capullo’s DC contract only has six issues left…Julie Benson, Shawna Benson and Javier Fernandez are the new team on Green Arrow starting with #43…Jim Lee doesn’t think Superman’s red trunks are here to stay…Bryan Hill and Miguel Mendonca are the new team on Detective Comics starting with #982…Gail Simone & Adriana Melo are teaming on a Plastic Man limited series…Grant Morrison wanted to tell at least 5 years of Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne stories…Tom King is working on something called Sanctuary, a place that DC heroes could go for support. It doesn’t seem to be a new series but something that could be used on all of the DC titles…the first two Brian Michael Bendis’ Jinxworld titles will be Pearl (with Michael Gaydos, an epic romance set among warring Yakuza factions in present-day San Francisco) and Cover (with David Mack, which is about a comics creator recruited by an intelligence agency to live a double life as a spy)…Bendis hasn’t given up hope on a DC/Marvel crossover.
