Cancellations And the Potential Return of 24

As the fall 2019 announcements are about to be made Fox is considering many things. One is a new version of 24 that could be set somewhere other than the CPU but lose the terrorism angle. An idea for a court based show has been debated and they are fully aware that Kiefer Sutherland isn’t coming back. The network has talked with Greg Daniels and Mike Judge about a revival of King of the Hill. They would love to do a Buffy the Vampire Slayer renewal but are waiting for Joss Whedon to decide if he wants to do it and if he doesn’t then the network will move on. Gotham is renewed for a final season but since the network is getting Thursday Night Football it will run on another night. The Exorcist and The Last Man on Earth have both been cancelled as has Lucifer. The Exorcist wasn’t a good fit for Friday and Last Man couldn't continue without a ratings push which the network never seemed inclined to give it. Same with the Vertigo series Lucifer which has an outside chance of being shopped around to another platform.
