AMERICAN GODS FUTURE IN QUESTION Posted: 042918
Both Bryan Fuller and Michael Green are leaving the Starz/Amazon series American Gods which leaves the show in a weird place since it was renewed for a second season. Deadline reported that most of the scripts have already been written and that Neil Gaiman may join the show as a co-showrunner. The problem with that is that Gaiman is already working on a Good Omens adaptation. The cast was told of the move. Season two will have to deal with the loss of Gillian Anderson, who had not interest in staying with the exit of Fuller and Green. Co-star Kristen Chenoweth had already indicated she’s unsure if she’ll be back as Easter. The exit of Fuller and Green had to do with the budget for the second season according to rumors.
