 DC has signed Frank Miller to an
exclusive five-project deal. The deal will have him create a young adult graphic
novel starring The Dark Knight Returns’ Carrie Kelley. The Miller/John Romita
Jr. Superman: Year One limited series for the new Black Label imprint is part of
the deal. It’s part of a new business strategy to create a wider audience for DC
properties. That is why DC Black Label, DC Zoom DC Ink and DC Super Hero Girls
have been announced recently. The moves are being made to appeal to the
bookstore market as well as comics shops. |
