Mysterio was a surprise at the Royal Rumble and he is hopeful about coming back
the WWE. He told The Mirror, "I want to say that there is a big possibility that
I will be back. We're figuring out what the situation is, you know from both
ends. But there is definitely a positive feedback on behalf of the fans, on
behalf of the WWE staff, and behalf of myself, man. I think we're possibly going
to sit down and negotiate something where we can both work together and have a
good time and enjoy." The appearance was supposed to have been a one and done
but the reaction from the audience changed that. Mysterio has a lot of
commitments for other wrestling companies and Impact has been trying to sign him
after it was clear he wasn’t returning to Lucha Underground. If the deal happens
he will not work a full time schedule due to the wear and tear on his knees. A
deal could also have the WWE sign his son, Dominick, who wants to enter the
family business to a NXT developmental deal at the Performance Center. |
