UFC
fighters Fabricio Werdum and Colby Covington while in Australia got into a
fight. Exactly what happened depends on which side you believe. One report said
that Covington was talking on his phone and for no reason Werdum punched him.
The other report is that Werdum never punched Covington but knocked his phone
out his hand after the two got into an argument in the lobby of the hotel UFC
booked the fighters in. Covington hasn’t said anything but Werdum told Flo
Combat this: “We were in the lobby, and I’ve never seen this guy before. When I
walked he looked at me and said: ‘Brazilian animals’. And I was like ‘Hey’. I
slapped his phone and asked: “What did you say?” Then, he kicked my leg, but I
managed to defend. Then the guys got in the middle and had nothing left. But he
kicked me, he is audacious.” Covington responded with the following: “Look at
this clown. You’re a f–king clown Fabricio Werdum. What’s up? You just punched
me in the face.” It went on from there and ended with Covington calling Werdum
old. UFC fighter Dan Hooker then posted a video of the two arguing outside the
hotel before Werdum throws a boomerang at Covington while they are yelling at
each other. The UFC is investigating the incident. This isn’t the first time
Covington has had issues since weeks earlier after he beat Demian Maia in Brazil
then called the country a dump and its citizen’s filthy animals. Covington has
since pressed charges against Werdum for assault. |
