THE SHADOW STILL KNOWS BATMAN

Elements from DC Series One Will Be Picked Up in Dynamite Series Two

The Batman/The Shadow crossover hasn’t even ended but a sequel will begin in October. Steve Orlando the co-writer of the first crossover will go solo this time and the new six-issue limited series will have art by Giovanni Timpano. Orlando says the reception to the first series made DC and Dynamite announce a sequel right away. He and Scott Snyder did talk about where the characters could go after the end of the first series. The underlying thing about the first series and the second one is that Batman finds the very idea of the Shadow a mystery. He isn’t sure if anything he learns about him is true or false and that drives him. The sequel will add Robin to the mix since it is set in modern continuity. And with him involved there will be added tension since The Shadow will see Robin as more logical than Batman. Orlando says that the threat all three will face in the series is the Silent Seven. If he had a chance he would love to do a crossover between Supergirl and Miss Fury.
