News and notes on the upcoming Blade Runner 2049: the film will mark the return of one of the original replicants by using the same CG VFX process used in Star Wars: Rogue One…the area that Ryan Gosling’s character finds Harrison Ford in is what’s left of Las Vegas…Edward James Olmos will return to play Eduardo Gaff. Olmos says its just one scene…Ridley Scott plans to franchise out the Blade Runner world. One of the Easter Eggs on the Prometheus DVD suggested that Eldon Tyrell was Peter Weyland’s mentor so the Alien world is connected to the Blade Runner world.
