Lion
Forge Comics has created a new shared universe superhero imprint called Catalyst
Prime. A preview of what the line will be was seen on Free Comic Book Day. What
fans saw was Catalyst Prime: The Event which set up the entire universe. The
line will be overseen by former DC/Milestone editor Joe Illidge and
Deathstroke’s Christopher Priest. In the one shot we saw what is going to be a
mixture of science fiction with superheroes set in a normal world like ours.
Each month a new title will ship and by the end of December the line will be
seven titles. The books will be written by David Walker, Amy Chu, Joe Casey,
Brandon Thomas, Alex de Campi, Sheena C. Howard and Ramon Govea under the watch
of Priest. Accell, the second book from the company launches this month from the
team of Joe Casey and Batgirl’s Damion Scott. The book will tell of Daniel
DosSantos who after being exposed to radiation from something from space will
gain super speed. Daniel will go into becoming a superhero as a lark but realize
that having powers isn’t always a good thing. |
