In an interview with the Fox Sports' Wrestling Compadres podcast, WWE COO Paul "HHH"
Levesque did confirm that a WWE women's tournament is going to happen this
summer. This has been rumored for a while but it took a while to figure out when
the tournament was going to take place. As was the case with the WWE
Cruiserweight Classic WWE will look for talent from anywhere. Some of the women
we may see in the tournament are already training at the WWE Performance Center.
There right now are Kimberly Frankele, Dori Prange, MaryKate Duignan Glidewell
and former mixed martial artist Julia Ho. Frankele was trained by WWE
Cruiserweight Drew Gulak. Prange has worked in Japan as well as the states.
Glidewell got her training at Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley’s wrestling academy and
has fought virtually everywhere. Ho has been a professional model, a singer and
now an MMA talent. |
