John Pollock of The Fight Network has reported that the Fight Network parent
company Anthem Sports & Entertainment has had talks with TNA co-founder Jeff
Jarrett. Jarrett doesn’t have a new role with TNA and isn’t going to be an
advisor but he is giving “background information” for Anthem as they prepare to
oversee the revival of the TNA brand. He left the company three years ago and
was an investor until last year, when he made his final TV appearance for the
company and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. The meetings were supposed
to have been secret but Anthem wasn’t that hard to get comment from. In other
TNA news Billy Corgan has gotten all his money back from the company after his
lawsuit against TNA parent company Impact Ventures, TNA Wrestling, President
Dixie Carter, her husband Serg Salinas and CFO Dean Broadhead was settled.
Corgan will have to cover the court costs and has made it clear that he isn’t
done with the wrestling business since the deal doesn’t stop him from investing
or forming a new company. Corgan is still annoyed about Carter lying to him
about what his investment would have allowed him to do. |
