In Nightwing #10 we will saw Dick
Grayson return to Blüdhaven, where he once lived. Tim Seeley has brought him
back there to deal with revised versions of his former foes. The villains will
be known as The Run-Offs and include revised versions of Stallion, Thrilldevil,
Giz, Mouse, Gorilla Grimm, and Orca. Grayson will continue to travel around the
world but Blüdhaven will be his home base. The idea of Dick returning came from
Geoff Johns since Dick’s life in Blüdhaven was a major part of previous
Nightwing runs. In those stories Blüdhaven was a more corrupt version of Gotham
but the city will be in the middle of trying to become a family-oriented tourist
spot. This will create a city in which the tourist areas are bright but the
industrial area is waning as the city remains a transit hub because of it being
close to the coast. Dick will be the only superhero in town and the police
department isn’t happy he is here but having no other heroes there means
ex-criminals from Gotham run there to avoid Batman. We will see a new supporting
cast comprised of people Dick knew as Robin and of course, a new love interest. |
