Once again Marvel can do a series called Champions. Marvel did have a title that
name in the past but couldn’t use it due to a copyright dispute with Heroic
Publishing. Matt Fraction was going to revive the title in 2007 but had to
change the name of the book to The Order. The two sides have made up so Mark
Waid and Humberto Ramos can now launch a series using the team of Nova, Ms.
Marvel, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Amadeus Cho, the teenaged Cyclops and
Vision's daughter Viv. Waid says the team is formed due to a "generational
shift." The most interesting member of the team will be Cyclops since his older
self has done things that some question so he will be there to set up a
different path. |
